WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CARBON AND CERAMIC?
The main difference between carbon and ceramic car window tint comes down to the materials used and their performance. Carbon window tint, created by infusing carbon particles into the film, offers efficient heat and UV ray blockage. It's cost-effective and helps maintain a cooler interior without interfering with signal reception. Ceramic window tint, featuring non-metallic and non-conductive ceramic particles, is renowned for superior heat rejection, providing optimal protection against UV rays and superior thermal insulation. It might have a slightly reflective appearance but doesn't compromise visibility or electronic signals. If you're looking for peak heat resistance and UV protection, ceramic is the top choice, while carbon offers a balance between performance and affordability.

In California, window tint laws allow non-reflective tint on the top 4 inches of the windshield. Front side windows should allow over 70% of light. Rear side windows have no specific darkness limits, and tint on the rear window should also allow over 70% of light. If the rear window is tinted, dual side mirrors are required. Red, amber, and yellow tints are not allowed. Medical exemptions for special tint are permitted with a certificate from a dermatologist, ophthalmologist, or optometrist. Make sure to verify the most up-to-date regulations with local law enforcement or the California DMV. Additionally, check for any local ordinances.
Once your car windows are tinted, you can anticipate several benefits. Firstly, there's the increased privacy that window tinting provides, making it harder for outsiders to peer into your vehicle. Secondly, you'll experience improved UV protection, reducing your exposure to harmful sun rays. Furthermore, tinted windows help reduce glare, especially when driving during sunny days or at night, enhancing visibility and safety. The sleek and stylish look added by tinted windows elevates your car's aesthetic appeal. Just a quick heads-up, after the tint is applied, you should refrain from roll down any of the windows that have tint on them for a few days to allow the tint to set properly.
